Over its history, From the Ground Up has grown from a local Potters’ Guild members-only show to a broad regional juried exhibition. Early venues included the Branigan Cultural Center, host of the first From theGround Up exhibition to the New Mexico State University Corbett Center Gallery, and private galleries. Jurors selected for this exhibition are professional artists, gallery directors, university and museum instructors, and ceramics professors. Noted jurors have included Karen Terpstra, Kurt Weiser, Doug Jeck, Miranda Howe, and Steven Hill, among many others. This year’s juror is Joshua R. Clark, Assistant Professor of Ceramics at New Mexico State University, who has exhibited nationally and internationally.
