Fire Chief Smith oversees the entire Fire Department, providing leadership, management, and reporting services to members of the Fire Department, as well as the City Manager’s Office. This ensures they are able to make well-informed decisions and allocate the resources needed to accomplish program, department, and city strategic results.
Deputy Chief of Administration
DC Arias coordinates management and logistical support services for Department members and other City of Las Cruces departments so we can work in a safe and livable environment and have what we need to efficiently meet the needs of the greater Las Cruces community.
Deputy Chief of Operations
DC Allen oversees the operations side of the department— which includes Fire, Emergency Medical Services, Airport Safety, HazMat, and Technical Rescue response teams.
