Keep Las Cruces Beautiful
KLCB can supply trash bags, gloves, safety vests, and pick-up tools free of charge to any group or individual doing a voluntary clean-up. Supplies are available from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 Bell. Ave. (near the corner of Bell Ave. & Linden Ave.). Look for the KLCB canopy.
Adopt a Spot
You are encouraged to take part in this exciting and innovative program by
adopting a portion of your neighborhood. From business districts to your own block, beautification and maintenance of your own

Call for Volunteers for "Team Up to Clean Up"
City Council District 4 Event
Volunteers are needed! Get rid of weeds, trash, junk, graffiti, and other debris in your neighborhood the Team Up to Clean Up way!
The Parks & Recreation Department’s Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB) program will conduct another Team Up to Clean Up event from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 16, 2022, in City Council District 4, represented by Councilor Johana Bencomo.
Roll-off containers, provided by Las Cruces Utilities Solid Waste, will be available at two locations for District 4 residents to utilize during event hours: La Llorona Park, 3440 W. Picacho Ave. and Henry R. Benavidez Community Center, 1045 McClure Road.
Las Cruces Police Department Codes Enforcement and KLCB also will have supply stations at both locations. They will provide equipment, supplies, specific clean up locations, and any additional information. Recruit neighbors and friends to join in efforts to maintain property, beginning where you live.
Anyone living in City Council District 4 can contribute to the city’s beautification by joining KLCB to help clean up their neighborhood!
Slightly less than two tons of trash was collected during a recent Team Up to Clean Up event in June 2022.

Reuse and Recycle Fashion Show
KLCB also hosts the annual Reuse and Recycle Fashion Show in honor of Earth Day. Contestants must create clothing designs out of recycled materials. The competition is open to everyone, and the call for entries is announced prior to the fashion show which is showcased at the City’s annual Earth Day event.
Team Up to Clean Up!
The newest KLCB program is “Team Up to Clean Up!”, a beautification project to help enhance the quality of life in Las Cruces and reverse the process of neighborhood deterioration. Residents are encouraged to recruit their neighbors and clean up their neighborhood. Clean up events are scheduled per city district. KLCB will provide supplies such as bags, gloves, and specific locations, if needed. Find your district here Team Up to Clean Up! Team Up to Clean Up! Libby the Green Dog
KLCB collaborates with Las Cruces Public Schools and the City of Las Cruces to bring Libby the Green Dog as an ambassador to educate youth in controlling litter, recycling, beautification, and reporting graffiti. Libby visits with classrooms in various schools to teach kids how to recycle and ways to prevent illegal dumping.
