[ARCHIVED] City Park-goers Asked to Obey Operating Hours

Parks Young Park

Las Cruces police remind park-goers that City parks are open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and must be vacated during the overnight hours.

Police have received a handful of complaints about some individuals over-extending their visits or camping overnight in City parks.

Police and Codes Enforcement officers will increase overnight patrols at all Las Cruces parks. Anyone found trespassing after hours will first be asked to leave. Failure to comply with the City ordinance can result in a misdemeanor charge with a fine of $500 or incarceration for as long as 90 days.
