The City of Las Cruces garrison flag will fly from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at Veterans Memorial Park, on Roadrunner Parkway, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Volunteers are welcome to help local military veterans raise and lower the flag. Volunteers should arrive at Veterans Memorial Park about 15 minutes before the flag is to be raised or lowered. Veterans will advise volunteers on how they can help.
Youth groups and school organizations are especially invited to help veterans with the garrison flag. The garrison flag, which measures 12 feet by 20 feet, is flown on an 80-foot pole and flies on U.S. holidays and for specially designated occasions and events.
