Due to new water tie-ins, the following areas will experience a water outage for four hours beginning Tuesday, September 10, 2019, between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.:

• Bowman Street between the intersections of W. Union Avenue and Conway Avenue.

• Manso Avenue between the intersections of Bowman Street and Linden Avenue.

• W. Union Avenue between the intersections of Bowman Street and Apple Cross Place.

• East Street between the intersections of W. Union Avenue and North Street.

• Residents along North Street between the intersections of West Street and East Street.

• Residents along West Street between the intersections of W. Union Avenue and North Street.

• Residents along Conlee Lane from the intersection of W. Union Avenue north.

• Mesilla Park Elementary School on Union Avenue.

The following areas will experience a water outage for four hours beginning Wednesday, September 11, 2019, between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.:

• Bowman Street between the intersections of W. Manso Avenue and College Avenue.

• Residents along Conway Ave. between Lucerne Way and Orange Ave.

The following areas will experience a water outage for four hours beginning Thursday, September 12, 2019, between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.:

•Bowman Street between the intersections of College Avenue and University Avenue.

• Residents along College Avenue between Bowman Street and Harrelson Street.

• Residents on Sanchez Place.

• Residents along Capri Road between Bason Drive and Bowman Street.

Adjacent areas also may be affected by the outage. Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, the City recommends waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.

The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call Las Cruces Utilities dispatch at 526-0500 for assistance.
