[ARCHIVED] Body Identified as 47-year-old Man

Las Cruces police have identified the body found Tuesday along the railroad tracks near Rosedale Drive as that of a 47-year-old man from Albuquerque.

It’s believed the victim was struck by a southbound train and no foul play is suspected.

Shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, a passerby called 911 to report an unresponsive man lying near the railroad tracks just north of Hoagland Road near Rosedale Drive. Police arrived to find the man deceased.
