Senior Programs Advisory Board



The Senior Programs Advisory Board (SPAB) consists of seven members appointed by the mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council, and site members selected by Senior Programs participants as a representative of each senior program site and appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. There is one member from each of the six city districts, one member at large, and site representative members elected from the:2016 Senior Programs Advisory Board Members

Duties & Responsibilities

The duties of the SPAB include reviewing business and operation of the City's senior centers, assisting staff in review and development of policies and procedures, and recommending regulations to City Council when the need arises. The Board is also the final say on any code of conduct violations or grievances of seniors that are brought before its members.

The Mission of the City of Las Cruces Senior Programs and Munson Center is to promote and enhance the physical, intellectual, social and creative well-being of individuals 50-plus in order to improve their quality of life.
